Two parish councils will begin working together on how to develop the villages of Linton and Hildersham after they were designated as a ‘Neighbourhood Area’ by South Cambridgeshire District Council.

The council confirmed the villages’ application following a public consultation which means they can go on to form a development plan.

The plan could include providing and designing homes, shops, offices and infrastructure for their villages and could take the parish councils at least 18 months to develop.

Details of steps involved in the process can be found by visiting www.scambs.gov.uk/neighbourhood-planning, including a flowchart of the Area Designation process and who is involved.
