Ridgewell prepares for Christmas Fayre

A Christmas Fayre will take place in St Lawrence Church, Ridgewell, on Saturday, December 8, from 2pm to 4.30pm.

Stalls will be selling gifts, decorations, home-made cakes, locally-produced honey, Christmas greenery and other seasonal items.

There are opportunities to win a Christmas hamper or a home-made Christmas cake. There will also be a large second-hand book stall.

The church will have a traditional Christmas tree and decorations. There will also be carol-singing and seasonal organ music.

There is no charge for entry. Refreshments will be available, including mulled wine.

This is the fifth Christmas Fayre in the church to be organised by the Ridgewell History Society, and it involves other village organisations, including the WI, the Garden Society and the Congregational Church, plus many villagers.

Profits from the fayre will be donated to the Church Building Improvement Fund.
