Robbery in Ipswich

Police in Ipswich are appealing for information following a robbery in the town where a woman had her mobile phone stolen.

The incident happened at around 3.35pm on Friday (December 21) in a car park off Westgate Street, Ipswich.

While the 20 year old woman was walking along and using her phone to text someone, a man approached her from behind, leant over her and grabbed her white iPhone 4s before running off.

The man is described as black and in his 20s with a shaven head; he wore a black hooded top, black tracksuit bottoms, and a red cap.

Anyone who was in the area and witnessed this incident or recognises the man from the description should contact DC Hannah Martin at Ipswich CID on 101 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555111.
