Serious road traffic collision in Elveden
Police are appealing for witnesses following a serious road traffic collision at Elveden.
The two-vehicle collision happened at the Elveden crossroads between the B1106 and A11 at around 2.25pm Saturday (January ) and involved a Toyota and a VW car.
Police, fire and ambulance attended the scene.
The driver of the VW, a 29-year-old man from Coventry has been arrested on suspicion of aggravated vehicle taking.
The man is currently being held at West Suffolk Hospital.
One of the rear seat passengers of the Toyota has sustained leg injuries and has been taken to Addenbrookes, a further rear seat passenger has arm and shoulder injuries and has been taken to West Suffolk Hospital, a front seat passenger has sustained arm and pelvic injuries and has been taken by air ambulance to the Norfolk and Norwich Hospital.
The driver has sustained leg and facial injuries and taken to West Suffolk Hospital.
The road is closed and diversions are in place whilst the incident is dealt with and vehicles recovered.
Witnesses to this collision are asked to call the Serious Collision Investigation Team on 101.
