Business networking franchise thebestofhaverhill have teamed up with the town’s chamber of commerce to offer a speed networking event this month.
The event will be held on September 18 at 5.30pm at Haverhill Arts Centre and will be in lieu of the group’s normal monthly meeting at the Days Inn Hotel.
Speed networking is a fast paced and fun way to meet a large number of people in one session.
The evening is one of a range of business events taking place across west Suffolk from September 11 to 20 as part of the annual Business Festival organised by St Edmundsbury Council.
Networking plays an important role for both Haverhill Chamber and bestofhaverhill with both organisations recognising the business benefits of devoting time to develop new contacts and reinforce existing relationships.
The ticket price is £14 plus VAT for members of Haverhill chamber and bestofhaverhill and £18 plus VAT for non-members and includes a light buffet supper.
Places are limited to 32 and tickets will be sold on a first come first serve basis

Paul Donno, chairman of Haverhill Chamber and director of accountancy practice Jacobs Allen, said: “The chamber runs regular networking events on the last Friday of the month.
“We thought it would be a good opportunity to work with thebestofhaverhill to put together a joint event as part of the Business Festival.
“There are lots of different activities taking place in Bury St Edmunds and we didn’t want Haverhill businesses to miss out and thought that speed networking was something a little bit different.”
Elaine Carr, owner of thebestofhaverhill, said: “We have opted to use the Haverhill Arts Centre as our venue as having a large area with enough space to accommodate everyone comfortably is very important to the success of the evening.
“We are also using the services of business coach John Porter, from business improvements, to manage the timings, which require a military precision if everyone is to meet each of the other 31 people attending within the allotted time.”
