Haverhill Choral Society is presenting it’s Summer Concert at Clare Town Hall on Sunday, July 13 at 7.30pm.
Whilst traditionally the Society’s main concert normally staged around Easter is to present a major choral classic - this year it was the Brahms (German) Requiem - the mid-year programme provides an opportunity for the Choir to showcase popular classics.
This year the show includes songs from the shows by some of the great modern composers including Richard Rodgers, Cole Porter, Stephen Foster and Andrew Lloyd-Webber as well as short pieces by Mendlessohn and Schumann.
The 40 members of the choir will be conducted by the Society’s musical director, Jane Wright and accompanied
by the talented Nigel Brown at the piano.
Tickets are available on the door at a very reasonable £8 which includes refreshments after the concert.
