A call has gone out for keen golfers to enter a charity golf day in Haverhill in June, to raise funds for St Nicholas Hospice Care.
The Haverhill Golf Club charity golf day will see teams of four compete on June, 14 with the best two scores to count over 18 holes. All proceeds from the event will go to the hospice.
Jordan Hughes, St Nicholas Hospice Care Community Fundraiser, said: “Thank you to Haverhill Golf Club for putting on this event for the hospice. I hope all budding and keen golfers out there sign up to take part.
“The funds the day raises will be put to very good use, helping to support people facing life-shortening illnesses and their families.”
The competition is open to all categories, including non-competition handicaps. Prizes will be up for grabs to first, second and third placed golfers.
There will also be a team prize and non-competition first place.
There will be a par three challenge on all par threes, with players having the opportunity to win a new car if they score a hole in one. Other prizes will include a holiday, weekend break and a set of golf clubs.
The cost of team entry is £200, with the cost including coffee and a bacon roll on arrival, one-course running buffet and refreshments at the halfway house.
The par three challenge costs £3 per par three, £2 for the putting competition or £10 all-in.
A raffle and tombola will also be held, with all proceeds from the day going to the hospice.
Haverhill Golf Club captain Bob Spittle is also appealing for help with sponsorship, donations, raffle prizes or help on the day. To help, contact him on 01440 761404.
