The Big Draw 2012 – ‘Barmy Buildings’ at Saffron Walden Museum

Throughout the ages there have been many weird, whacky and wonderful buildings.

But what will houses look like in the future?

Building on the Castle and Community exhibition, visitors to Uttlesford District Council’s Saffron Walden Museum will be able to use their imagination, creativity and a little inspiration from some of the world’s greatest monuments to design a futuristic building.

A giant ‘street of the future’, which will fill the whole space of the Museum’s Great Hall, will be created on Saturday (October 6).

Two drop-in sessions have been organised from 11am to 1pm and again from 2pm to 4pm.

There is no need to book but children must bring an adult.

Activities are suitable for families with children of all ages and normal admission charges apply (£1.50 adults, 75p discounts and children free).

For all the latest news see Thursday’s (October 11) Echo.
