The identity of the 'Queen' at her 1953 Coronation in Haverhill has been revealed

Echo reader Susan Knight, from Haverhill, saw this photo in our paper last week and contacted us to reveal the details.

Her auntie Heather Coot (now Nicholls) is pictured being crowned ‘Queen of Haverhill’ (instead of the usual May Queen title) most probably at the Hamlet Croft, in 1953.

Heather, now in Bury St Edmunds, was then 17 or 18.
