Following its immense success in previous years the three-legged race will be returning to Finchingfield this year on Sunday, August 31.
New runners are welcome and can raise money on behalf of their chosen good cause or charity by taking part in the event, which is organised by Finchingfield Cricket Club.
Three-legged pairs must race around the village drinking at all three pubs, and crossing the pond (twice) without use of the bridges. The race starts at 3pm.
It has been an excellent spectacle in previous years and promises to be so again.
There will be fun and stalls on the green from 1 pm and the club would also welcome enquiries from potential stall holders.
Paul Denman, club chairman, said: “We are delighted to again offer the opportunity for 3-legged runners to make a spectacle of themselves, to raise money for deserving causes and for spectators to have a cracking afternoon out.”
There are a few places available, please call Club Secretary Damon Knight on 07932019474 or email firstname.lastname@example.org for more info and a registration form. Or search Finchingfield-3-Legged-Race on Facebook.
