Youngsters at Thurlow Primary School have been showing their county councillor the litter problems in their village as they aim to organise a litter pick.
The children walked around Thurlow with Suffolk County Cllr Mary Evans last Wednesday (February 12) .
Annette Illingworth, a senior teacher at the school, said: “They looked at the areas blighted by litter and arranged to carry out a litter pick soon.
“Cllr Evans got ideas from the children about what can be done to improve the environment, such as planting some bulbs in addition to the upcoming litter pick.”
The initiative began after youngsters wrote letters to Cllr Evans after spotting all the litter.
