Less than two whole days are left for people to take part in Uttlesford District Council’s budget consultation for the 2014/15 year.
The process of setting the council’s budget takes many months so the council needs to start thinking now about its priorities for the next financial year.
The easiest way to have your say is to visit www.uttlesford.gov.uk/budgetconsultation and complete the short online questionnaire.
Alternatively, paper copies are available from the libraries in Saffron Walden, Dunmow and Thaxted or at the council’s London Road Offices in Saffron Walden.
As in previous years, the council is asking residents to pick their top priorities and also say what they don’t think the council should be doing.
Cllr Robert Chambers, Cabinet Member for Finance, said: “It is very important that we hear from our residents. This simple, straight forwards consultation really does help us understand where people believe we should be focusing our efforts.
“With a continued tightening of local government finances it is vital that we use our limited resources wisely.
“I would urge everyone to take a few minutes to complete the survey and make sure the council continues to focus on the issues that matter most to you.”
People have until Monday, September 23 to take part in the consultation. The results will be published as part of budget papers later in the year.
