Haverhill 2 Letchworth 2

Haverhill captain Tina Bunch is hoping her side can continue their recent resurgence having draw the first of their five successive home games.

They twice bounced back to draw 2-2 with Letchworth on Saturday (November 24) having won 3-2 at basement club Crostyx II the Saturday before (November 17).

“We’ve found another level in the last few weeks and we need to maintain that – we’ve lost the losing habit,” said Bunch.

Haverhill next host fifth placed East London tomorrow (Saturday, December 1, 3pm start).

“We should have got a better result when we played there in the opening game of the season, and I keep harping on about home advantage but it has proved to be the case and now I think we can get something from this game,” added the skipper.

“We want to carry on the momentum in these last two games before Christmas (they host fourth from bottom Stevenage in their final game of 2012 on December 15). We want to get out of the relegation zone so want another three points at least, and goal difference could be crucial.”

Vicky Haylock, Kim Thomas and Clare Goldsmith will all be absent for tomorrow’s (Saturday, December 1) game, with Bunch likely to return.

“Cara Ainsworth has played well when she’s stepped up and we have a good squad at the moment,” said Bunch.
