A 14-strong party of visitors from Haverhill’s twin French town of Pont St Esprit have just completed a six-day stay in Suffolk.
They arrived in Haverhill on Thursday 17 to a welcoming party at the arts centre hosted by the town’s Mayor Cllr Roger André.
On Friday they visited the capital for a guided tour of Old Westminster before spending the next day with their hosts, which included an evening at the arts centre dancing to live music by The Maggerzines, with a buffet supper.
Sunday was also spent with their hosts, with outings taken to the Haverhill Summer Bash and Kedington Open Gardens and on Monday they had a day out in Cambridge before flying home on Tuesday.
Haverhill Twin Town Association chairman, Elaine McManus thanked everyone involved in the hosting, including association members, its committee and Mr André for his gifts to the visitors.
