Firefighters tackle a van fire in Haverhill ANL-140728-100056001

Several calls were made to Suffolk Fire and Rescue service when a van caught fire in Haverhill on Saturday (July 26).

A fire crew arrived at the scene of the fire in Ladygate, Haverhill, just before 2pm. The fire, which had started in the van, had spread to nearby bushes and a tree.

The fire was fought with one hose reel and, by 2.16pm, the fire was brought under control.

The cause of the fire is still under investigation. No casualties or rescues have been reported.
