Police are appealing for witnesses after a burglary and an attempted burglary took place on the same day at two villages near Haverhill.
The first offence took place between 11.50am and 3.10pm on Thursday, October 31 at an address in The Thorns, Wickhambrook.
A rear window was forced open and an amount of jewellery stolen from inside.
The second incident occurred at around 2.30pm on the same day at a house in Turnpike Hill, Withersfield.
Four people were seen to be acting suspiciously in the back garden by a witness and then fled upon realising they had been spotted, making off across fields at the back of the property towards Hales Barn Road in Haverhill.
On police arrival attempts to force a rear window were discovered and despite searching the area the offenders were not found.
The four suspects are described as male, aged between 16 and 20 years-old and all wearing black or blue coloured hooded tops.
