Woman tried to smuggle druugs into Highpoint Prison

A woman has admitted trying to smuggle drugs to an inmate at Highpoint Prison.

Lauren Dye, 28, appeared ton Friday at Ipswich Crown Court where she pleaded guilty to an offence of bringing a prohibited article into a restricted place.

The offence, which involved a quantity of cannabis, was committed on July 6 last year.

Judge David Goodin told Dye, of Thames Avenue, Worcester Park, Surrey, that all sentencing options including immediate custody were being held open until she

returns to court to be sentenced on January 14.

Ordering the preparation of a pre sentence report by the Probation Service, Judge Goodin said Dye would continue to be granted bail until her next court

appearance.
