A hospice volunteer will run the London Marathon in memory of a man she cared for by raising money for the charity that supported him.
Jean Newlands, 48, from Great Wratting, will run the 26.2 miles through the capital on Sunday (April 13) in an attempt to raise £2,000 for St Nicholas Hospice Care.
Haverhill Running Club member Jean, who started running around a decade ago and has managed four marathons, is also aiming to raise funds through a coffee morning from 10am to midday at Withersfield Village Hall on Friday (April 11).
