Having had to call off last week’s two walks as a result of the saturated state of the land, Newmarket Ramblers will be hoping to be able to resume their programme in the next few days.

Tomorrow (Sunday, Feb 16) a ten mile walk starts at 10am at the public car park near the Health Centre in Linton and will include sections of the Icknield Way Path, mainly in Essex.

Details can be obtained from the leader, Hilary, on 01440 710919.

On Wednesday, February 19 a five mile walk starts from the RSPB Reserve car park, near Lakenheath Station, and will follow lanes and droves around Hockwold village.

Non RSPB members are reminded that there is a parking charge at the Reserve and car sharing is recommended. Enquiries for information on this walk can be made via Phil on 01638 751289.
