Haverhill Police have been cracking down on cyclists without lights as they look to address on of the Safer Neighbourhood Team’s (SNT) publicly-set priorities.

Addressing Haverhill Town Council at Tuesday’s (February 18) meeting at the arts centre, Inspector Peter Ferrie said that such cyclists are being stopped and multiple checks are being carried out.

They are then issued with a warning, and if caught again get a fixed penalty notice.

Two such tickets have been issued since the SNT meeting on December 9.
