Marketing agency, thebestof Haverhill is launching its latest campaign to raise the profile of independent, recommended businesses serving Haverhill and the surrounding area.
The 14 Days of Love campaign, which has run for the last three years, has evolved in 2014 to the Local and Loved Business Awards.
The new name emphasises what the campaign is all about – asking people to vote for their favourite local businesses and saying why they love to use them.
The campaign operates at a local and national level with businesses across the UK vying to be voted the most loved business in their town, category and in the country.
The aim is to raise the profile and awareness of great local businesses and to highlight the impact that they have on the local economy and the community.
Launched on 1st February and running until midnight on Valentine’s Day, local people can vote for any businesses they love by visiting www.thebestof.co.uk/vote. The results will be displayed every day on the ‘love-o-meter’ (www.thebestof.co.uk/love-o-meter) until 13th February, with the winners being announced on 17th February.
The Local and Loved Business Awards provide an ideal opportunity for local people to show their appreciation to local businesses. Voters will also be put into a daily prize draw where they can win £100 to spend with a local thebestof business.
Last year’s winner of the Most Loved Business in Haverhill was Dizzy’s Day Nursery based on Hollands Road. Established in 2002 and rated excellent by Ofsted Dizzy’s has built a reputation for providing first class, quality childcare and playing an active role in the community, working with education and healthcare professionals.
Liz Nunn owner of Dizzy’s comments, “The team and our parents really did get behind the campaign last year. We were acknowledged as the Most Loved Business in Haverhill, the second Most Loved Nursery in the UK and the 30th Most Loved Business in the country!
“These were the first awards that we have entered in our eleven years of operation so it was fantastic that we did so well.
“More importantly for me was to have the affirmation from our parents and families that they love us and the way we care for their children.
“We received some absolutely lovely comments and the team were genuinely touched to read what parents think of us.
“It was a real boost for staff morale and confidence.
“In celebration of our success we attended the bestof Ball in May, which provided a rare opportunity for members of the team to get dressed up and show off our glamorous side!”
The team from Arevolution, who won the Most Loved Business in Haverhill in 2011, have already shown their commitment and determination to ‘go for it’ again this year.
They recently called in fellow business member David Doughty @ The Gallery to take some promotional images showing them with the “tools of their trade” which will be used to raise awareness of the campaign and encourage their clients to support them.
