The Steeple Bumpstead 10K race and 3K fun run is to return for a second time after its inaugural year in 2015 proved a success.

The event is staged to raise funds for Steeple Bumpstead Pre-School, which is based in the village hall.

Both runs take place on Sunday, June 26, with the 10K off at 10.30am and the 3K at 10.45am, each one starts on Camping Close, bhind the village hall.

The hall has changing facilities, toilets, first aid and the opportunity to leave your bags.

There is car parking available on the playing fields as well as in the village hall car park. There will be one water station along both the 10k route and the 3k route, and plenty of marshals to ensure that you don’t get lost.

There will be prizes for first, second and third male and female in the 10k and for first boy and first girl in the 3k.

All competitors will receive a medal at the end of the race.

Registration will be available from 9am on Sunday, June 26 although entries can be made for the 10K race in advance via www.entrycentral.com or by visiting www.steeplebumpsteadpreschool.co.uk and following the links.

There will be refreshments available at the end of the race including a barbecue, cakes and drinks.
