The Suffolk Accident Rescue Service (SARS) is appealing for volunteers to help support its life-saving activity.
The local emergency medical charity would like to increase the number of its charity volunteers who can provide vital fundraising and administrative support.
SARS Fundraising Manager, Ben Hall, explained: “Our doctors and paramedics volunteer without charge because they are passionate about helping people in their local community.
“It means that SARS, even though it’s a small charity, can make a real difference to patients who are unfortunate enough to become critically injured or ill in our county.
“We want to help more of these people if we can but this means increasing our charity infrastructure to support our volunteer doctors and paramedics.
“We urgently need more charity volunteers who can help us with administration, fundraising, marketing, in fact almost every area of the charity’s backroom operation.
“There are some great opportunities to learn new skills or use your existing skills to help a local charity which is doing a fantastic job in the Suffolk area.”
Anyone who is interested in volunteering to help SARS should contact their head-office on 01473 218771 or email sarsHQ@gmail.com
