West Suffolk MP, Matthew Hancock, has taken the Ice Bucket Challenge.

Mr Hancock accepted a nomination from Mark Waldron, editor of the Portsmouth News to participate in the challenge which involved tipping a bucket of icy water over his head.

The challenge has become a viral internet phenomenon, with participants posting videos of their icy dousing to raise money and awareness for research into Amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS), also referred to as motor neurone disease.

After completing the challenge, Mr Hancock nominated Minister for Equalities, Sajid Javid, Peter Stanley and Emma Jones from Enterprise Nation.
