A welcoming party greeted German visitors at the Haverhill Arts Centre last week as two towns twinned since 1982 came together.

Elaine McManus, chair of the Haverhill Town Twinning Association, the Mayor of Haverhill, Cllr David Roach, and Deputy Mayor of St Edmundsbury Borough Council, Cllr Margaret Marks, welcomed the new President of the Ehringshausen Town Twinning, Ulrich Diehl, and around 30 members from Germany on Wednesday.

The visitors returned home on Sunday after a busy itinerary which included a Kedington dance and seeing Centre Stage’s Oliver.
