Matthew Hancock, MP for West Suffolk, has been made Minister for Business, Enterprise and Energy in today’s (Tuesday’s) cabinet reshuffle.
Mr Hancock, 35, who lives with his wife, daughter and son in his Little Thurlow constituency, previously held the post of Minister of State for Skills and Enterprise.
“It is an honour to be asked to attend Cabinet as Minister for Business, Enterprise and Energy,” said Mr Hancock. “I am from a small business background myself and having worked so closely with the business community in West Suffolk over the past four years, I am delighted to be able to take on this role in Government.
“I can only do my job successfully in Westminster by listening closely to what people are saying in West Suffolk. I look forward to representing my constituents and working for the long term future of the country.”
