The first Saturday in August means that once again it is West Wratting Village Show, held in St Andrew’s churchyard, in aid of the church fabric fund.
The bigger and better than ever show will be opened by East of England MEP Vicky Ford, at 12.30 pm on Saturday, August 2.
There really is something for everyone: a number of competitions for Best Pet; a huge range of Dog Classes, including the “Best Six Hairy Legs” (gender non specific); Cookery, Crafts, Flower Arrangements, and of course the traditional Fruit and Vegetable section.
For children there is a junior section for collages, photos, handicraft and much more.
West Wratting’s CAMRA award winning pub, the Chestnut, will be running a beer tent, and there will be teas, a barbecue, donkey rides, a bouncy castle and other traditional attractions.
The show ends with a Songs of Praise in St Andrew’s at 4.30pm.
