HAVERHILL Rovers boss heaped praise on Jamie Challis after the midfielder's man of the match in the 5-4 defeat at home to CRC on Saturday.
Challis had put in below-par showings in recent matches but was the best Rovers player on the park in Saturday's thriller at Hamlet Croft.
Betts said: "We asked questions of Jamie before Saturday because his last two performances had been average and at the moment average isn't good enough.
"But he responded in the manner we wanted and was possibly our best player."
