FORMER Haverhill Rovers manager Steve Taylor has gone back to his old club to sign left-sided player Jamie Thurlbourne for his new team Wisbech Town.
Thurlbourne, 20, joined Haverhill after being convinced by Taylor to leave Newmarket Town, but the youngster was one of a handful of players who stayed with Rovers after wages were cut in March, causing the resignation of Taylor.

Thurlbourne made 31 appearances for Rovers and scored three goals, including a brace in Rovers' last home match of the season, a 3-2 defeat to Dereham Town.

Taylor has also moved to snap up striker Nick Impey, who left Haverhill for Cherry Hinton in March.
