ANOTHER hat-trick for Brandon Nacimento and a single for James Haylock saw HLA carry on their unbeaten status in the league this season and with only one game to go it could be m
aximum points.

It was another fine performance by keeper Doug Becks, keeping the HLA goal safe with Ryan Geoghegan Ben Spring Nick Asbey and Johnny Martin in front of him.

In the middle and forwards HLA had Ashley Augar Josh Jones Alex Westdjik George Roach and the goal-scorers.

HLA's next game is another cup final at Ipswich on Sunday, May 11, against Bressingham.

As HLA are nearing the end of their season they would like to thank managers and coaches David Pett, Richard Haylock and Scott Augar, referee Tim Becks, ball boy Neville Haylock and all the parents who have supported the team throughout this season.

CAMBS COLTS LEAGUE

DIVISION A

Histon 1

Grampian Gunners 4

GRAMPIAN played their penultimate game knowing the league was out of reach.

However, they treated the mass travelling support to some entertaining football.

Jarid Robson opened the scoring after a fine through ball from Josh Oates.

Five minutes later the Gunners went two up.

Luke Haines swung in a corner, Tom Saville headed on to the post then tapped the rebound in.

In the second half, Histon took the game to Grampian.

After another attack, a poor back pass gifted Histon a life-line.

This lifted their confidence but Jarid Robson soon put the Gunners in the driving seat.

He picked the ball up in the box and slotted home with ease.

Alex Clark played a great ball down the right for Robson to run onto and shoot straight at the keeper with Robson following up to smash home the rebound for his hat-trick.

DIVISION D

Godmanchester Rovers B 1

Haverhill Rovers 4

ROVERS enjoyed the lion's share of the play and finally opened the scoring half way through the half.

Jack Elliott twisted and turned as he beat players on the edge of the box only for his shot come back off the crossbar, as Keegan Ayre followed up to score from the rebound.

Having limited Godmanchester to few chances in the half, the home side went into the half time break level.

Chris Rogers fed the ball wide for Christian Rose whose cross was met by Ayre as his touch looped the ball over the keeper and into the far corner to restore Rovers' lead.

Will Gregory took a touch out of his feet before driving his shot into the bottom corner and the scoring was complete when Tom Pinker sent a cross into the six yard area where Ayre slotted home for his hat-trick.
