HAVERHILL Tennis Club juniors have been representing the club over recent weeks and have achieved some amazing results.
At the under 12 starter event held in late April, Harry Sendall won the boys' event, beating Newmarket's Christopher Hoole in the final 4-2, 4-2.

Harriet Patrick finally managed to beat Christie Roberts to win her first tournament.

Poppy Phi
lipps was unlucky not to qualify for the final, losing out on game difference.

Gregory Birch has been playing in the Mini Tennis Cambs and Suffolk circuit in their red tournaments (for children born 2000 or later) and accumulated enough points to qualify for Suffolk and Cambridgeshire's Grand Prix finals.

He finished fourth in Cambridgeshire and was knocked out in the quarter-finals of the Suffolk event.

Haverhill sent a red-mini team to Ipswich where ten other teams were competing and the team of Birch, Toby Fellows, Ethan Webb and Sorcha McCooey came back with the gold medal after a very close competition.

Haverhill were again well represented in the under 12 and under 14 county starter finals where Ross Tobin, Rachel Jeffs, Christie Roberts finished fourth and Harriet Patrick went one better finishing third.

Ross and Rachel were victorious at the under 14 Starter Event held at Haverhill on May 10, where the children did exceptionally well in the heat.

The club then fielded its best boys' team in a Champions League red event at Newmarket.

They won 13 of their matches with their nearest rivals managing eight wins, meaning the team of Birch, Fellows, Prince Mutswunguma, Callum Edwards and Joseph Morley won the event and have now qualified for the county finals in June.
