An injury time penalty save from Liam Cutts allowed Hundon to take all three points in a very scrappy game at Towns ground.
Hundon took the lead after nine minutes when Paul Stokes sent through Jonathon Freeman to slot the ball past the Newmarket
keeper.
The lead did not last long, as Hundon failed to clear a long ball which enabled Newmarket to get an equaliser after a scramble in the box.
Hundon did retake the lead on 35 minutes when Craig Cutts was brought down in the box.
A penalty was awarded and Gavin Taylor smashed home.
With the game fizzling out and only seconds left in injury time an accidental handball against the reliable Dave Wilson allowed Newmarket a penalty, but fortunately Liam Cutts in the Hundon goal produced an excellent save to allow Hundon to claim the three points.
Hundon: L Cutts, Hinton, Hughes, Wilson, Mayes, Clerkin, Copsey, Taylor, Freeman, C Cutts, Stokes.
