A basketball competition in Haverhill saw 80 students from six schools battling for first place.
Haverhill's leisure centre hosted the tournament on January 20 from 3pm to 5pm, with girls from Parkway Middle School winning their event after topping the group of four teams.

Boys from Chalkstone Middle School won their competition, coming through a group to defeat Great Cornard Middle School in the final of the eight teams.

The winning Chalkstone team was made up of George Stowells, Joe Baker, Connor Goodings, Tom Marsh and Harry Ripp.

South west Suffolk schools sports coordinator Keith Limon said: "We've been looking at doing competitions for children who are not top level, so this was for those children who would not usually get the opportunity to represent their schools."
