Cambridge Squash League Division Four
Cambridge IV 3 Haverhill II 2

A return to league duty for the Haverhill Squash II team travelling to Cambridge for their first game of 2010.
Haverhill's Daryl Hester opened up at five pitched against a talented lady opponent, cruising to victory
9-0, 9-6, 9-0.

Peter Atherton was at four for the Haverhill team and he too was in good form to control his match with good length shots to see off his opponent 9-4, 9-4, 9-0.

Alan Cunningham at three looked to be in control of his match when taking the first two sets 9-5, 9-3 before losing 9-7, 9-5, 9-2.

Haverhill's Tony Revell took the opener in his match at two up against Paul Walker by 9-4 in confident style.

The Cambridge skipper responded and took the next two sets 9-5, 9-2 and then a close run fourth saw Revell just miss out going down 10-8.

The evening decider was played out by the number ones with Haverhill's Malcolm Day losing the opening set 9-6 and then the second 9-2.

He won the third 8-1 up only for the Cambridge man to storm back and serve for the match at 9-8, but he grabbed a 10-9 win before easing to a 9-3.

However the hosts had the final say with a 9-4 win marking a great comeback.
