Haverhill's hockey team plunged back into the drop zone on Saturday.
Their 3-1 home defeat bu Louth, coupled with Spalding's 2-1 win at City of Peterborough II, sees them move one point below their rivals at the foot of the table.

The rugby team got back to winning ways with a 20-3 home win over Mistley.

However
, Harwichs 88-0 win against Dereham sees them go 140 points clear of Haverhill on points difference, meaning Haverhill will have to hope their title rivals slip up to a defeat if they are to win the league.

Haverhill Rovers Reserves advanced to the finals of the Suffolk Senior Reserve Cup with a 2-1 win over Hadleigh United at Hamlet Croft.

In the Kershaw Premier League, Whittlesford United's promotion push took a stutter as they lost 2-1 at Eaton Socon.

Hundon enjoyed a 2-1 triumph at Newmarket Town Reserves and West Wratting thrashed Over Sports 5-2 at home.
