Ely City 2 Haverhill Rovers 1

Former Rovers striker Nick Impey made it a miserable reunion for his old club by snatching an 88th minute winner in their Thurlow Nunn League Premier Division encounter on Tuesday.

Rovers edged ahead through Callum Harrison on 58 minutes only for Ely’s top scorer Andrew Claydon to level on 70.

The visitors, who were without their leading scorer Dan Cornwell, then suffered the late disappointment of seeing Impey score off the post from 20 yards to settle the match.
