Haverhill Rovers keep striker

Star striker Dan Cornwell has signed an 18-month contract at Haverhill Rovers.

The former Bury Town man, who has netted eight goals in 11 Thurlow Nunn League Premier Division appearances this season, is one of the most sought-after players in the league, but has chosen to stay at the New Croft until at least the summer of 2014.

Upwardly-mobile Rovers, who have applied for promotion to the Ryman League, go in search of their sixth consecutive victory in all competitions at Stanway Rovers tomorrow (3pm).

Meanwhile, Rovers’ feeder side Haverhill Sports Association (HSA) are due to host Peacehaven and Telscombe in the third round of the FA Vase at the New Croft tomorrow (3pm).
