Tickets are now on sale for this year’s Suffolk FA Awards Night sponsored by McDonald’s.
FA chief executive Martin Glenn is to be the guest of honour at the event on Friday, June 3, in the Sir Bobby Robson Suite at Portman Road, home of Ipswich Town FC.
It is a coup for Suffolk FA to attract the top man at The FA, and follows on from David Sheepshanks, the former Ipswich Town chairman and now chairman of St George’s Park, speaking at last year’s event which was also attended by former Ipswich Town manager George Burley.
The evening will feature several awards including the FA Community Awards, presented by McDonald’s and is being sponsored by Mark Richards, a director of Mardi Foods who has a chain of McDonald’s restaurants in Suffolk.
Places are limited to a maximum of 150 and tickets, priced just £25 which also includes a three-course meal, are now on sale.
The evening will also celebrate referees with Long Service awards as well as the Player of the Season awards for the county’s three Representative sides – Ladies, Under-18s and Under-16s – and the Groundsman of the Year awards.
Nick Garnham, who is co-organising the event, said: “Following the success of last year’s inaugural Awards Night, we are really looking forward to staging this year’s event.”
