Haverhill golfer Ellis Kerr will be looking to find top form over 18 holes in the British Junior Golf Tour IMG Academy Junior World Championship Qualifying tournament this Sunday.

The seven-year-old will be among a field of more than 130 youngsters from across the country travelling to Park Hill Golf Club this weekend, competing for a place in San Diego, California this summer.

The top boy and girl in all the six age groups will represent British Junior Golf Tour in the prestigious competition, which will feature 1,200 participants from 56 countries, from July 10, with previous winners including Tiger Woods, Ernie Els and Phil Mickelson.

Kerr has made an impressive start to the British Junior Golf Tour Super Six with top five finishes in the opening two rounds.

He was in great touch in the first round at The Bedford at the end of last month, as he bagged the third prize in his age group.

And the talented youngster followed it up by finishing in fifth place in the second round at Cambridge Meridan Golf Club.
