Haverhill return to rugby action
After an enforced three week hiatus thanks to the weather, Haverhill return to league action on Saturday with a trip to Thetford.
Haverhill will be hoping to complete their second double of the season in Greene King IPA Eastern Counties Division Two, having defeated Thetford 21-10 in October.
They will be without prop George Foley, who is having to see a specialist about a troublesome ankle injury, although it is hoped it will only keep him sidelined for another two weeks.
They are boosted however by the return of Simon Potter, who has been away on Army duties.
Haverhill’s chairman of the playing side, Dave Halsey, said: “we are going with the intention of getting maximum points.
“They are a strong forward team so we have got to try and dominate them in the forwards and use our backs we have to go through and do that for us.
“We have got a very strong back row made up of Gavin (Hope), Chancey (Mulama), Monty (Beaton) and Adam (Hunt).”
