Haverhill squad players get the chance to step up
James Craig in action for Haverhill against Felixstowe
Squad players will have the chance to shine when Haverhill face Norwich Union on Saturday due to the absence of a few experienced players.
Haverhill travel to Norfolk for their league fixture shorn of experienced players such as Adam Hunt (unavailable) and Gavin Hope (ankle injury) while they are also likely to be missing fly-half Jake Jeffs due to work commitments.
Their absence gives the likes of young scrum half James Craig a further chance to impress, as he did in Haverhill’s 25-16 win against Felixstowe last weekend.
On the plus side for Haverhill, however, is the probable return to the team of Chancey Mulama.
Haverhill’s chairman of the playing side, Dave Halsey, said: “we will go out and try and play our best game that we can with what players we have got and just hope we can get the result that we need.
“There’s a lot of youngsters who have been sitting around in the background and its giving us an opportunity to give them a chance and see what they can do.”
