What’s in the latest selection of PlayStation Plus free games?

Sony’s latest PlayStation Plus free games offering for September has been announced after its revolutionary ‘Vote to Play’ campaign.

Voices of gamers have truly been heard in this social/gaming experiment which allowed PS Plus members the ability to choose a game to be made available for free as part of Sony’s September Plus downloads.

The first title in next month’s free games lineup as a result of the vote will be Grow Home on PS4.

But gamers who voted for other titles will be pleased to hear that their votes for Armello or Zombie Vikings were not entirely wasted as Plus members will now get a 30% discount on both starting on September 1 and going all the way through September 15.

Grow Home is described by Sony as ‘an adorable game about BUD (Botanical Utility Droid), who is traveling the stars in search of new flora to help his home planet’.

In Grow Home, players will climb a massive plant that stretches from the planet’s surface all the way to his ship in space.

The next game in the September line-up is Super Time Force Ultra – a fast-paced action platformer that tasks players with rewinding time and creating “time clones” to clear out levels.

The space and time theme constinues as next up is Xeodrifter where players explore strange alien planets and discover valuable secrets to cobble together a way home.

An old favourite returns in the form of cult classic Twisted Metal which celebrates classic car combat with tons of power-ups and delectable explosions.

Then there are two to test the old grey matter as Teslagrad features beautiful platforming and smart puzzles, and La Mulana EX brings a riddle-filled adventure to challenge-hungry gamers.

The games are free for PS Plus members starting next Tuesday, September 1.
