Linton Granta players team up for a 500 miles charity challenge

Six players at Linton Granta FC will be teaming up to run an aggregate distance of 500 miles next week to raise money for University College London Hospitals Charity UK (UCLH).

Made up of brothers, Andy and Chris Palmer and Dan and Ben De'Ath, plus Jake Kitchener and first team skipper Luke Little, the team is called Granta Gallopers.

From Monday, May 25 to Sunday 31 they will between them (some may run more miles than others) aim to complete the 500 miles and have set up a donation site.

Ben said the choice of charity was suggested by Jake, who knows someone that works for the UCLH, and it was also decided to give to a cause that is not so well known.

The challenge was proposed by Dan, who a keen long distance runner and was dueto do a 100 mile Thames Path challenge this year, but it got cancelled.
