One year after being left outside an RSPCA shop in Colchester, two kittens are thriving in their new home.

She said: “After the loss of our cat, Bo, the house seemed so empty. So we decided to get another rescue cat.

“We went along to the RSPCA branch to look at rehoming an older cat. But we absolutely fell in love with Noelle and Gingerbread.

“They came home with us in January with lots of toys, a nice big bed, and a scratching post.

“Ginger and Elle - as we call them - settled in very quickly. “They give us hours of fun and get on well with Hettie the hen!

“They love playing in the garden and love their food!

“They’re very close and sleep together at night. Ginger still looks after Elle - it’s very sweet.”
