Kedington parish council has been recognised for its contribution within the borough of St Edmundsbury.

The Mayor of St Edmundsbury, Councillor Robert Everitt, visited a Kedington Parish Council meeting to present a scroll to the Chairman of Kedington Parish Council, Simon McGuire.

The scroll is intended to thank Parish Councillors for all their contributions to the well-being and life in the Parish.

Cllr Everitt paid tribute for all the hard work delivered by Parish Councillors, who work on a voluntary basis.

He also praised their commitment to the village of Kedington and Calford Green.

The scroll is also intended to commemorate the 800th anniversary of the Magna Carta, which is being celebrated in full in 2015.
