Stansted Airport steps in to provide support for Haverhill Rovers Girls team

Young footballers at Haverhill Rovers have been given a helping hand to quench their thirst during and after matches thanks to the help of sponsors at Stansted Airport.

More than 20 water bottles have been donated to the Haverhill Rovers U12 Girls team thanks to the intervention of the airfield operations duty manager, Giles Peeters, and its environmental manager, Martin Churley.

Mr Peeters approached Mr Churley to see if he could help, and he came up with the water bottles.

Leanne Bronson, whose daughter Paige plays for the team, said: “It was a great boost for the girls who also had some boot bags donated to them by Adams Harrison Solicitors last year.

“The girls are also after a pop up gazebo, if any one would like to donate one.

“A big thank you to Stansted Airport.”
