Appeal after Haverhill assault

Police are appealing for witnesses after a man was assaulted in Haverhill at the weekend.

The incident took place between 2.30am and 2.45am on Sunday, May 31 in the High Street.

The 21-year-old victim was assaulted by two other men, suffering minor injuries for which he required hospital treatment. The attack is believed to have taken place across the road from Boots.

Police would like to identify two white men, both aged in their mid to late 20s, who were seen in the area at the time:

The first is described as around 5ft 8in tall, of medium to stocky build, with short blonde/fair hair. He was wearing a white t-shirt with dark patterned sleeves and a logo/writing on the front, dark-coloured trousers and black trainers.

The second man is described as being 6ft tall, of large build, with short dark hair. He was wearing a dark short-sleeved shirt, with dark horizontal stripes, blue jeans and dark shoes.
