Appeal after man approaches children in Haverhill

Police in Haverhill are appealing for witnesses after a man approached two children in the town.

The incident occurred at around 1pm yesterday, (Thursday April 9), in Layer Road where two primary school age children were out playing in the street.

A man approached them and asked if they would like 20p to go and buy some sweets, at which point the children ran straight home.

Officers would like to speak to the man about this incident. He is described as white, with a bald head, skinny build and a tattoo round the side and back of his neck.
