Appeal for information as wallet stolen

Police in Haverhill are appealing for witnesses after a man had his wallet stolen.

The incident took place at around 3.45pm on Wednesday, April 29 near the garages behind Montfort Court.

The victim, a man in his 60s, was approached by a man who began talking to him and when he then turned to go into his garage, his wallet was stolen from his back pocket.

The offender removed £60 in cash from the wallet before discarding it and making off.

The man is described as white, aged in his forties, around 5ft 10in tall, of medium build, with short dark hair. He was wearing a navy jacket and dark trousers.
