Haverhill charity, My Blue Heart is inviting East Anglian artists to submit work for an exhibition to raise money for CLIC Sargent.

Founded by Shirley Gower in 2012 following the loss of her 14 year old daughter, Jess, to primary bone cancer, My Blue Heart donates profits from the sale of its unique heart-shaped badges to other bereavement support charities.

Upon founding the Charity, Mrs Gower received an outpouring of artwork from those identifying with the My Blue Heart symbol and its ethos and she hopes the exhibition at the Apex in Bury St Edmunds in September will create a new platform for established artists to exhibit their work in response to the theme of loss, in whatever format they choose.

Mrs Gower said: ““We are so grateful for the support of the Apex and hope the exhibition will be an exciting 3 week event showcasing unique, personal artworks by a range of artists.”

All profits raised will be donated to CLIC Sargent’s bereavement services.which supported the Gower family.

Workshops and events are also planned.

If you are interested in submitting your work for the exhibition, contact My Blue Heart on 07786 933563, or by email exhibition@myblueheart.co.uk .
